Totems

Designed them on paper boxes that had been worked on, some I used to supported other photographs, some I decorated with acrylic, some did display cut outs (made to have them looking like trees) and two (by the entry) showed my CV info.

The ones on the main room count a peer hole on, allowing access to the photo placed inside.

Red Line

I was given a room at Espaço Imerge, where I did recreate a studio, displaying the pieces as research, moon board and "work in progress".

The photos were placed on canvas, with paint work (grewing off the images).

I Amares Biennal

The images were directly placed on to the walls of my assigned room, connection made apparent by the subjects (of the photographs),
paint work surrounding them, a paper collage done to one.

Meus Santos Queridos

Taken over two communicating rooms,

The first one showing the Santos solo photographs, took once I had work on the sculptures (clothes altered, diversely accessorized...) and their interviews (fabricated respectfully distorting their stories).

The second one showed the group photos (on location) and the sculptures on a ceremony display,

Pre-mass noise playing on the back ground.

Studio Pilotenkueche

A series of Windows to show my view, of the one I got,

A mix of material, to recreate the window and how the view reach just to a point, and the intensity of details depends mainly, on a person attention to them. As well as the one resulting from my view from the studio and the one from my flat in town

Trying to approach the audience to my vision, my work with the different media, and how the story told evolves given the people I met, a new culture am immersed in...

Despina

Working from the idea of a "bichiario" as precious, a collection, to direct attention to women's health. Always found biological designs appealing,
I imagined an array of uterus, with printed images of round objects -easy to identify via consumerism and globalization- as miomas.

To recognize feelings over genetics, specially being in Brazil (where the assault of transgenders is a big problem) the pieces were hand cut, to look similar, on a world where appearances can be all that matters (an issue, in this case).

Nada es lineal

Installation of photography and paper, with images from this historical neighbourhood, to try and get the population to take care of this beautiful area, the oldest in town.

Inspired by the townhall initiative, I did collaborate with one of the residents crafts.

A piece showing a bag designed by them, the pattern of this purse, it's being used to complete the metallic gate (those parts left out of the image) .

With a licence in Psychology (Universidad de Granada, Spain) I moved to Paris to enroll on french civilisation courses (La Sorbonne) and the following year, a DESS (European Master) on ergonomics (Paris V). After a stage on correctional ergonomics realized I rather work on personalized design, preventing the damage from happening.

With this in mind went to Copag (art school, Paris) searching to ease my communication with designers.

I would choose my practical assignment in photography, and assisted Hervé Bruhat, during the making of an european advertising campaign and a couple of book events. He would point me on the galleries path.

My first exhibition was commissioned by Pressing to work along their summer season (Paris). It consisted of photographs of the city graffiti, displayed on the boutique walls.

I then moved to London, got a Bloomsbury flowers internship after completing the Business of Floristry (Judith Blacklock School), took charge of the windows display for Oxfam (Hampstead), worked as assistant to the Museum of Brands curator, and took part on the summer 07 Novas Gallery (London) group exhibit, with an image of Roman graffiti.
Once in Porto, did collaborate on the development of Palacio das Artes- Fabrica de Talentos, followed by a solo exhibition, TOTEMS, held at the Fundaçao da Juventude

This would mark the point when I became an installation artist.

Selected for the Red Line 08 (my exhibition titled "Roteiro") and the "Porto_communidade" by Emre Koyuncuo and Tobias Hering, the workshop did lead to a performance and photo display of Porto graffiti.

Was later invited to the I Amares Bienal,

And asked to do the entry exhibit space for the press release (following the association's director original opera) of Terra na Boca, consisting on a display -hall alike- of the photographs I had been taking during the rehearsals.

While living in Lisboa was called to create an exhibition of my choice in Porto, developed as "Meus Santos Queridos" (Museu Guerra Junqueiro).

Back in London, attended Gallery studies (RACC) and the Art handling installation course (UAL).

In Milano for a couple of workshops hosted by Studio Guenzani, I got on display, during Matteo Rubbi "let the stars sit wherever they will ", a piece created at this time,

Being offered a place on the Westside Studio (Pilotenkueche), autumn 2015.

Accepted as resident with the Largo das Artes program 2016.
